Explanation : Kimono and Yukata

Why everyone like doesnt know what's a Yukata instead they know what is Kimono?!

Yukata (浴衣)

It's actually a Japanese summer garment. During Japanese's fireworks display , or Bon Odori festivals , etc etc

Yukata is a casual form of kimono that is frequently worn after bathing at traditional Japanese inns.But their use is not limited to after-bath wear , although the Yukata was literally named as bathing clothes.
Many young women now wears yukata in summer in personally distinctive ways and not limited by tradition !
Some animes in Japanese do wears Yukata as cosplay , like dis mini skirt cosplay girl from Penguin Girls anime.
And from Rosario+Vampire , Mocha-chan.

Yukatas are comfortable and cool during summer.

And for kimono ,

The Kimono , (着物)

is the traditional clothing of Japan. Originally the word "kimono" literally meant "thing to wear"

but now it is consider as particular type of traditional full length Japanese garment.
There's not much explanation on Kimono becoz there's many type of kimonos , i dunwan explain here.
There are men's kimonos too , they are far simpler , typically consisting of maximum of five pieces , not including foorwear.

And according to my knowledge , there are a kimonos called Hakama , which normally worn during old days for suicidal actions , they are white in colour .

The suicidal ways are , putting on the Hakama , holding the knifes ready to stab themselves in the belly , while a prosecutor welding a Sword to chop their head off.
